We know that many persons are facing different issues with their FIFA 13. Bellow you can find a list of known fixes for your problems! The list is in 3 different categories,PC,Xbox and PS3:
PC Bugs and Fixes:
- If you experience lag use D3DOverrider and enable/force triple buffering and vsync on FIFA 13 exe. Also enable/force antialiasing on AMD Vision Engine Control Center (AMD/ATI) or Nvidia Control Panel (nVidia).
- For those with the Direct X crash issue please update your Direct X! Go here to find out how.
- If your controller has problems with the demo please download these Xbox360 controller files and put them in your main FIFA 13 Demo folder.
- For the keyboard users that have difficulties with the keyboard setup for the demo go in My Documents -> FIFA 12 and copy the file “buttonDATAsetup.ini” and paste it in the FIFA 13 folder from My Documents and FIFA 13 Demo folder.
- If you have this problem, turn off the Anti-aliasing and V-Sync from your graphic card Control Panel OR set Anti-alising mode to application-controlled.
- If you get the “APPCRASH” error select the fifaconfig.exe and FIFA 13 Demo.exe go to their Properties > Compatibility and select Win XP SP3 as compatibility mode.
- Try the next solution if the demo crashes before launching: Open C:/My Documents / FIFA 13 Demo / instance0, select “replay0.bin”, right-click, Properties/ Check read only. Thanks to FGB for the tip!
- If the game crashes before you start a match, go and update your graphic card drivers! nVidia – AMD/ATI
- If the demo crashes at the language page you need to re-install Windows Media Player! Tutorial here. The intro can’t run without WMP, so the demo crashes.
- For those with heavy stuttering/lag:
From the fifaconfig.exe disable MSAA Options and Vsync and thick “Disable Windows Aero Theme”.For rendering quality is up to you how to set it but remember that an old PC would never run FIFA on High! Now follow the next steps: - Nvidia: Go to your graphic card control panel (right-click on desktop), go to Manage 3D Settings,Program Settings and add the FIFA 13 demo exe and set these settings for it. (At Texture Filtering – Quality put High Performance)
- ATI: Get RadeonPro make a profile with the FIFA 13 Demo,select it,click on Profile > Visual and add these settings: Anti-Aliasing = Application Controlled, Anti-Aliasing Filter = Multisampling, Anti-Aliasing Mode = Multi Sample, Anisotropic Filtering = Application Controlled. From the Advance and Tweak tabs turn OFF Vsync & Tripple Buffering.
Note that these are only standard settings and will not fix your problem 100% because everyone has different specs. You can change and tweak the settings yourself until you reach an ideal configuration for your game and the lag and stuttering will stop. Also don’t forget to use the D3DOverrider!
- If you still get the crash before you start a match after you updated your graphic cards drivers try to ALT + Tab before you click play match,return to the game and enter the match.
- Another fix for the start up crash is to download msvcp100.dll & msvcr100.dll and place them inside “FIFA 13 Demo\Game” directory(where fifa13_demo.exe is there). Thanks to blade for the fix!
- If you get the ”E0001” error is because you graphic card doesn’t have the Shader Model 3.0! You must try to run your game on low settings and do the next: check that the resolution from the fifaconfig.exe is correct, uncheck Vsync from fifaconfig.exe and try this fix. Also try to update you graphics card driver!
- Ultimate team disconnection after a match fix: Uninstall Hamachi or Tunngle from your PC.
- Career Mode crashes fixes:
- Move the save file to the cloud and open it from there.
- Delete your gameface.
- Create a new save file, save to it, delete that save file and re open the original.
- Remove free agents from your customized squad in Career Mode.
- Score counted for two times fix: You must disable the end game sending statistics to your mail. Online mode / Settings / Match Report / Cancel ending at end game. Remember that your opponent must do the same thing in order to work!
- Always check for updates from Origin! Go to Origin and right-click to your FIFA 13 game and select “Check for Update” and if it doesn’t work select “Repair Install“.
- FIFA 13 is currently unable to support special characters (such as àéñõü). In the case where you PC name (or your Windows username) contains at least one of these characters, it will cause FIFA 13 to crash! Follow the next tutorial to change your PC name and your Windows username in case you use special characters. Click here for tutorial.
Xbox Bugs and Fixes:
- Updating EAS FC Catalogue Bug: Delete your UGC file from Creation Center or disconnect from Xbox Live until after the game fully starts and then reconnect.
- “Disc Unreadable” Error Fix: Clear your cache by going to My Xbox / System Settings / Storage / Hard Disc / Press Y / Device options / Clear System Cache / Restart.
- Career Mode crashes fixes:
- Move the save file to the cloud and open it from there.
- Delete your gameface.
- Create a new save file, save to it, delete that save file and re open the original.
- Remove free agents from your customized squad in Career Mode.
- Score counted for two times fix: You must disable the end game sending statistics to your mail. Go to Xbox Live/ My FIFA 13 Online/ Settings Xbox Live/ Match Reports/ Send statistics at end game/ Select “No”. Remember that your opponent must do the same thing in order to work!
- Online Pass issue workaround: Go to http://live.com, sign in with your Gamertag information (email and Xbox LIVE password), click on your Gamertag next to your Avatar picture on the top right (This is your Xbox LIVE profile page), click Redeem Code.
- FIFA Points bug: If you receive an error message in FIFA 13 while purchasing FIFA Points, please do not proceed through the Xbox Live or PSN menus. Make sure to exit the purchase process completely by going back to the FUT Main Menu and restart it to receive your FIFA Points.
PS3 Bugs and Fixes
- Ultimate team disconnection after a match fix: Delete your gameface (from your fifa web account) & all saved files from the previous FIFA games (FIFA10, FIFA11, etc.) games on your PS3.
- Freeze at loading FIFA 13: Remove the application “EA Sports Central”.
- Fix for freeze in the online arena before starting a game: In the data stored on your PS3 console delete the online teams file.
- Career Mode crashes fixes:
- Move the save file to the cloud and open it from there.
- Delete your gameface.
- Create a new save file, save to it, delete that save file and re open the original.
- Remove free agents from your customized squad in Career Mode.
- Score counted for two times fix: You must disable the end game sending statistics to your mail. Go to Online mode / Settings / Match Report / Cancel ending at end game. Remember that your opponent must do the same thing in order to work!
- Online Pass issues workaround: Exit the game, Go to the PlayStation store to the top right-hand corner and click on the icon to redeem code, re-enter the code manually and download it, delete your Game Utility Data for FIFA 13, step 5 in this article, re-enter the game and try to go online (it should say your code is corrupt and give you the option to re-download it), re-download the code.
- FIFA Points bug: If you receive an error message in FIFA 13 while purchasing FIFA Points, please do not proceed through the Xbox Live or PSN menus. Make sure to exit the purchase process completely by going back to the FUT Main Menu and restart it to receive your FIFA Points.

Make sure you have the latest VGA driver installed and the latest DirectX installed.
Because the game removes the crowd if your graphics are low.

Made a custom playlist on PS3 FIFA. Removed the playlist from main PS3 home and now I can’t even edit my custom playlist in FIFA. Keeps loading for ages. Any solution?
Hi I play Ultimate team FIFA 13 using PS3, I am facing a very big problem. My players keep passing and sliding by their own without my intention. Whenever I get to the opposition box, My players passes the ball by itself preventing myself to shoot. Please help

FIFA 13 is personally a FAIL i wasted my precious money on this sh*t i can’t make a VP without the Player Career i can’t go to arena by simply pressing “B” FAIL FAIL FAIL i want my money back “Electronic Assholes”. i have custom chants on fifa 13.. crowd chants for in the match and music chants for in menus ok now when i start the 2nd half in any match it plays my music list and not my chants??? its like it forgets what list to play!! really annoying listening to music being played while in a game!! anyone have this problem??

Same here – I never added Free Agents to my games in previous versions, always just played with downloaded up-to-date real squads. And I want to continue to do that; I don’t want Drogba at Bayern and I don’t want some made-up Paraguayans at random teams!

I have made several custom players for my career mode. But when I try to look at one special player in the game, for buy or loan him, the game freeze. I have tired to delete him and made a new one, but still freeze every time i try to click him. Other custom made players are ok? What can i do?

My FIFA 13 on PS3 crashes in the career mode whenever i try to get into the manager office and in particular to the contracts! No matter when or how, it crashes constantly and i have to restart the PS3.
I can’t find the .exe file anywhere. I had it for FIFA 12, but I literally have no idea where it is for FIFA 13, which sucks because I’ve got serious, serious lag all the time.

I was playing career mode with chelsea. after 1 season i started 2nd seaosn and now half the 2nd season has completed and the game crashes when i finish my match. The game gets closed after that match gets over. please help

My online pass does not save when I power down the system, I have to keep re-entering it.
I just got the game and the gameplay is very laggy for my carreer mode. It is affecting my play and its very annoying.
Playing career mode on ps3 and gets to about 3rd season and crashes but can’t quit the game have to turn system off at box causing damage to hard drive. Please advise how to save to cloud to see if this helps?
