- There is a fix to play the game with generic controllers: Go to Start-> Run-> (or maybe press the Windows button + R) -> type Regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER ->System->CurrentControlSet->Control->MediaProperties->PrivateProperties->Joystick->OEM-> and there in some of the three folders you should find a file called OEMName->Right Click on it -> Modify.. ->Rename USB Gamepad to ” Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2 ” . After download this Xbox 360 controller files and paste them in your main FIFA 12 Demo folder (Download Here).
- We have the fix for running FIFA 11 & FIFA 12 Demo at the same time!Download this registry file (Here),run it and you’re done!Now you can install FIFA 12 Demo without uninstalling FIFA 11.
- Fix for keyboard users: If you want to play FIFA 12 demo,with the classic keyboard controls,go in my documents -> FIFA 11,and copy buttonDATAsetup.ini file into my documents FIFA 12 folder.
- For USA PS3 users – the FIFA12 demo will go live between 2-6pm PST.

Do we have to do the Defending tutorial everytime we start the game??? Also custom controls are not saved. How can we select our home team??? can’t select it when I have the rna.ini file.

How did you that? I have the same controller, but i couldn’t use with FIFA 12 Demo, I got an error (“Object reference”), when i wanted to save.

Download the DS3 (dualschock3) aplication here http://www.motioninjoy.com/download, the download the x360ce.exe for xbox360 controller, on motioninjoy choose de PS3 controller and make all the buttons work as you want, after run the x360ce.exe and test all the axis and buttons, after that make a record in x360ce.exe for each button, exit the x360ce.exe and enter on fifa12 with the motioninjoy aplication running, it will work, just need a little patience for…

can someone please tell a fix for this defending, apparently the normal fifa defending can be found as Legacy Defending but when i go to change it the defending is Legacy but in the game the players are doing tactical defending. this is driving me nuts -_-

Hi, I installed all kind of fixes for my gamepad and the game starts fine and my gamepad too, but during the match randomly the game crashes to desktop.
Any suggestion?

The open the rna.ini with notepad. Give a number in place of X at the bottom of the file.
HALF_LENGTH=X
In the game its not highlighted. But the half time is actually the number set. So no problem.

Tactical defending will take some time getting hold of. Lower the difficulty and try to master it. Its very effective. And very easy when you get the hang of it.

Who has the problem ““please insert cd/dvd into drive C:” , try to extract the files NOT with Winzip, but with WinRar. I saw that winrar extracts much more files than winzip, 1.16 giga more.
I found a way to keep your custom controls for keyboard permanently.
Go to the Game folder inside the installation directory
Open the buttonDataKeyBoardMouse.ini
Here you have to change the first column of the 7th paragraph.
There are 4 lines:
1st Line: Shoot
2nd Line: Pass
3rd Line: Sliding Tackle/Cross
4th line: Through Ball/Goalkeeper Charge
Take a note in which style controls are written. like LSHIFT.
Now change them according to your wish.. I set it like this

the 8th and 9th paragraph look same. so i don’t know which one is for menu and which one is for controls. Since I play with gamepad and needed to change to to play double player with my friend, I changed for both the paragraphs (as I control menu with gamepad) Since the 2nd column for paragraph 7 is VB_AI_, I think the most probable paragraph for controls is paragraph 9. Go test it.
For 9th or 8th Paragraph
1st Line: Switch Player/Trigger Run
2nd Line: Teammate Contain/Juggle
3rd Line: Pace Control
4th Line: Sprint
Again change the value of first column in similar way. I kept it like this. (Showing the 9th paragraph)

Need help with TWIN USB controller , i cant play with movement keys guys !! only left stick movements and icant play them well ,, i need to get the movement keys work and in same time to keep the right stick for making tricks … now only right stick do tricks and left stick move and movement arrows do nothing :'(

Hey! I think i found a way to remap your buttons in the Demo.
Edit the buttonData.ini
Add the text bellow but change “Generic USB Joystick” to your Joystick’s device name. Experiment and remap these buttons.

There is no map named System under my HKEY_CURRENT_USER. What should I do? Please help me!!!
I tried everything said but nothing worked… I have the solution ! 😛 Go to My documents, and copy the Fifa 11 “ButtonDataSetup.ini” into FIFA 12 save folder (in My documents). Now run the game, it works !
